I fell in love with the mortgage industry early on while working as a telemarketer for a small mortgage broker who was teaching me the ropes in the mid 90s. I didn't care for telemarketing (who would) but when I realized that we were saving families hundreds of dollars every month and when it hit me just how much of a difference that could make in the lives of the parents and the children, I was immediately hooked!
Nowadays I get that same feeling just from knowing I've helped educate someone on their options so they can make the best decision for themselves whether they're purchasing or refinancing. With all the misinformation out there, knowing I can make a difference in this way keeps the job fresh and rewarding and I can't imagine doing anything else.
